David M. Soltis was elected to the City Council in November 2013 and serves or has served on the following committees:

• Library Advisory Board
• Planning Commission
• City-School Liaison Committee
• Election Commission
• Environmental Citizen’s Committee
• Initiating the newly forming Multicultural Relations Advisory Board (now the Human Relations and Equity Commission)

Prior to his election as City Councilman, Mr. Soltis served as Chairman and Treasurer of the Madison Heights Youth Assistance, Crime Commission, Treasurer of the Madison Heights Community Round Table and former member of Housing Commission. He also completed a 6 month Madison Heights City Manager’s Graduate Internship.

Mr. Soltis holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Oakland University and a Masters of Public Administration from Oakland University and Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society member.  He has worked in the health care field for 12 years and is the proud father of three children.
